I am reaching out in shock and sadness at the appalling antisemitic violence committed in Manchester today. Targeting a synagogue on the holiest of Jewish holy days only adds to the atrocity of the act. Knowing how shocking this feels to me, an outsider to the community, I can only imagine how distressing it is for you, our Jewish students and staff.
Acts such as this must only strengthen our resolve to work against antisemitism and discrimination in all its forms, to make our University, as well as our country, a safe and welcoming home for everyone.
Please know that the University takes your safety and wellbeing seriously, the support services available for you to access as well as information on security at King’s is detailed below.

Dean of King’s College London
