Welcome to the Centre for Global Health & Health Partnerships at King's

The Centre for Global Health and Health Partnerships hosts the King’s Global Health Partnerships and provides leadership for innovative global health education and research.

King’s Global Health Partnerships (KGHP) brings together the academic, health and international development communities from across King’s Health Partners to strengthen health systems and improve the quality of care in Somaliland, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. KGHP works with governments to educate, train and support healthcare workers; strengthen healthcare and training institutions; and enhance national health policies and systems.

Our global surgery research seeks to develop, pilot and evaluate health system strengthening interventions that increase the access to quality, affordable care for those with surgical conditions using implementation science strategies to improve the delivery of these interventions. Our research also focuses on neonatal surgical congenital anomalies, trauma system evaluation, surgical safety and surgical metrics to support national surgical planning. The Centre's researchers are also involved in four grant-funded global health research projects - ASSET, SISLE, SERCLe and ASPIRES.
