And what are you doing instead? Obviously reading this very important webpage and skilling up for your future, sure. And reorganising your sock drawer, cleaning out the fridge, watering the plants, scrolling on TikTok…
And more importantly, what's stopping you, and everyone else with deadlines, from getting these things done? When we catch ourselves procrastinating, it's easy to blame our work ethic or time management, when actually, we procrastinate when a task stirs up negative emotions like anxiety, confusion or boredom. While procrastinating may make us feel better today, we end up feeling worse — and falling further behind — tomorrow.
The "Get it Done" ethos is about identifying those tasks that will have the biggest impact and getting them done without delay – even when those tasks can be a bit scary. Because imperfect action is better than inaction...
