Interfaith week

Here at King’s, we are committed to supporting our diverse student community- furthering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion as part of King’s Strategic Vision 2029. We would like all our students to feel safe and welcome on campus regardless of their background. Religion and belief can be fundamental in shaping our identities and worldviews and promoting diversity and inclusion  can start with understanding each other's cultural and religious backgrounds.

Starting from Monday 17 May, we are launching Interfaith Week – a series of events promoting the dialogue between different parts of our King's community. The events will include talks with active members of the community, our students, as well as representatives of the chaplaincy to ensure a diverse and inclusive experience for all.

Interfaith Week is organised in partnership with the Office for Students.

Interfaith Quiz

One of the most essential ways for understanding other religious communities and promoting inclusiveness and diversity is to learn about other faiths. To help us all learn more about the religions and belief held by members of the King’s community we are holding an  Interfaith Quiz on May 24th. Join us to explore topics from traditional foods and history to places of worship and culture.

There will be a prize for the winner.

Date: Monday 24 May

Time: 4pm

Faith Crawl

Whilst we cannot currently physically visit places of worship, the pandemic doesn’t need to stop us from getting to know more about different faiths and engaging with representatives of other religious communities. During the Interfaith Week, there will be a unique opportunity to see what it means to be a representative of faith, what different places of worship look like, traditions and customs of various religious communities and how they adapted to the ongoing pandemic. Join us and representatives of different religious communities on this journey through London’s spiritual landscape.

Date: Thursday 27 May
