Hybrid and remote working equipment

Here you will find links and resources to the equipment and software you need to work and teach remotely.

Please be aware some of these resources are only available internally to King's. 

 

Hardware: the kit you need, costs and ordering process for working remotely (internal) 

Software: There are various routes to accessing software;

  • Software Centre: Via your King's IT supplied Windows laptop (SOE device) by accessing the Software Centre where software is already accessible on your laptop.
  • Self-Service: Via your King's IT supplied Mac (SOE device) - please raise a "Software Request" via the Self-Service portal.
  • For personally owned devices visit 'On the Hub' for more specialist software and search for the product you need.
  • Student Virtual Desktop: provides access for staff and students to specific software packages usually only available via on-site computing. Faculties and Departments will be contacted about specific requirements. Find out more on our Digital Learning and Assessment Pages.

Helix the online self-service portal, where you will be able to find answers to frequently asked questions, submit requests for assistance or report issues, and where you can monitor the progress of your existing tickets.
