Martin Williams, Professor of Science Policy, Division of Analytical & Environmental Sciences, has cautioned that ‘pollution will only fall if we cut greenhouse gas emissions in the right way’. His comments are published in a New Scientist article that discusses the health benefits of green energy.
The article, entitled ‘Green energy pays for itself in lives saved from smog’ was published on 22 September 2013. It was written by Michael Marshall and describes simulated calculations published by Jason West at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on the benefits of clean energy.
