UK faces £300m fine over failure to meet air pollution targets by 2010

Responding to reports that the European Commission is to take legal action against Britain over high levels of air pollution, Dr Benjamin Barratt, Environmental Research Group, said air quality in the UK is ‘not good enough’ and is ‘having an effect on all of our health.’
