Elizabeth Gilchrist wins Metrohm Academic Excellence Award

As part of a year of 20th Anniversary celebrations, Metrohm UK awarded Elizabeth Gilchrist  a cash prize for achieving excellence in science.

Elizabeth works on ion analysis which is Metrohm’s largest business sector. Her work on complex ion mixtures entails coupling Metrohm’s IC instrument to mass spectrometry.  Liz has already published six papers in analytical chemistry.  One of these was selected for the front cover of the RSC journal, “Analyst”. 

Liz was awarded the best student prize (International Ion Chromatography Symposium, 2012) and gave a platform presentation.  She was also recently awarded the “Best Flash Presentation” at the RSC Analytical Research Forum in 2014.
