King’s is a member of the London Arts and Humanities Partnership (LAHP), which each year offers up to 80 multi-institutional studentships for postgraduate research students studying in the arts and humanities.
LAHP students are invited to take a language module at the Modern Language Centre tailored to your PhD studies.

The course has 100 hours total teaching time, 4 hours per week for 25 weeks (Autumn, Spring & Summer term). Please note, during the Summer term, Saturday classes will run on 27 April, 11 May, 18 May, 1 June and 8 June 2019.

The Language Resource Centre (LRC) offers free speaking practice for students with a native speaker to improve conversational skills. Our speakers are volunteers and come from the richly diverse King's community.
The LRC also offers a wide variety of resources, workshops and events as well as multilingual learning advisors who are always on hand to help you make the most of the facilities.
