Our programmes

Studying physics is likened to opening the most powerful toolkit ever created. From addressing the applications of molecular science in treating and averting cancer to understanding how and when the universe was formed, physics at King’s is about pushing at the boundaries of human knowledge to find answers or, in some cases, to ask new questions.

Research has played a central role in the delivery of physics at King’s since 1829, when the School of Physics was founded. Research lies at the heart of many of our courses, and all of our courses feature modules taught by internationally renowned scientists.

As an undergraduate you can study straight Physics and select from a very broad range of options, or choose to combine Physics with complementary subjects including Mathematics or Philosophy.
