Biography

Emerging New Testament scholar with good publication record and important ongoing research projects relating to early Christology. Strong lecturing and teaching skills with a wide ranging teaching portfolio covering Old and New Testaments and a special emphasis on the Gospels and Paul. Interdisciplinary interests, particularly concerning the relationship between theology and biblical studies. NT Greek teacher and fluent in German. Preacher and teacher in church and academy and a regular conference goer and organiser. Keen blogger and DVD media figure for Biologos, GCI and HTB’s School of Theology. Experienced leader of various Biblical Studies courses, introduction to NT Greek, and an innovative Bible and Theology module

My research interests relate to early Christology, particularly questions concerning  the origin and development of the earliest divine Christology.  These interests impinge on readings of Paul, the Synoptics and Johannine material.
