All of our services are delivered by our dedicated team of specialist careers consultants, who are experts in career development for researchers. We also work collaboratively with the King's Doctoral College and the Centre for Research Staff Development.
Our team empowers all researchers to take charge of their career development and confidently navigate the hidden curriculum. We help researchers set realistic yet ambitious career goals, both within and beyond academia. We also provide them with the tools and support they can use throughout their careers, contributing to a positive research culture through good career management.
We offer a programme of workshops and events designed specifically for researchers to develop their career management skills, build career confidence and hear from experts across a range of sectors, both within and beyond academia.

We provide one-to-one appointments online and in person across Denmark Hill, Guy's and Strand campuses.
These 30 or 60-minute appointments with our specialist careers consultants for researchers are impartial and confidential. You can use them to explore career options, clarify goals, develop your confidence or discuss career changes. We can also support you in articulating the value of your research experience through application feedback and interview coaching.
Our podcast, Careers in Your Ears, offers careers advice, inspiration and insight for researchers exploring careers within and beyond academia. You’ll hear interviews with alumni, academics and industry experts who share their career stories. Our podcast can help you explore roles where your skills are valued, get strategic career advice and be inspired by the variety of ways you can develop your career.
As doctoral researchers and research staff at King’s, you have access to our specialist careers support pages on KEATS. Here, you can see our programme of workshops, explore careers within and beyond academia and access CV, application and interview support, including specialist guidance for academic CVs and interviews.
