Muslim Prayer Rooms

We have dedicated Muslim prayer facilities for the use of staff and students, to enable people to fulfil the requirements of their faith. The prayer rooms are open during King's opening hours as well as for Friday prayers.

Please note that the prayer rooms are designated for prayer - all other society related activities must be conducted in rooms booked via KCLSU.

Friday prayers

Friday Jumma prayers are held in the Strand Muslim Prayer Room (first basement, Strand (S-1.03)) and are open to staff and students of King's College London.

They are also held at the St Thomas' campus (Governors Hall, South Wing, 1st floor) and at Denmark Hill (WEC Gym) and are open to King's staff and students, and King's Health Partners and patients and/or patients' relatives only.

Unfortunately, pressures of space mean that these facilities are not open to the general public.

King’s College London Students Union (KCLSU)

KCLSU has several faith-related student societies, including Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, and Sikh. These groups book centrally-timetabled rooms for prayer, worship, and regular activities, and may also book Chaplaincy facilities.

Please email chaplaincy@kcl.ac.uk for more information.
