Workforce roles and development

Nicole Steils and colleagues are examining the nursing role in adult social care. Another recent major strand here is that focusing on the Personal Assistant role (studies led by: Caroline Norrie; Kritika Samsi). Kritika Samsi, Olivia Luijnenburg and colleagues recently completed a study focused on ancillary workers in care homes. Deputy Director Ian Kessler leads on the Unit's major Nursing Associates study. Deputy Director George Stoye and colleagues analyse nursing supply in the broader economic context. Jo Moriarty leads our investigation into international educational partnerships in healthcare. Kalpa Kharicha leads a study on volunteers in adult social care.
