The Teaching Centre of Immunology is a hub for high-quality immunology teaching and training on programmes for medical and non-medical undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students, as well as clinical trainees and post-doctoral fellows.

King’s has a long-established reputation for excellence in immunology, starting with Peter Gorer’s fundamental discovery of murine H-2. Today, his legacy continues with King’s staff whose research expertise covers a wide range of interests in immunology, infection and inflammatory disease.



Professor Steve Thompson, Head of Teaching Centre

Steve is a Professor of Immunology, Education & Widening Participation and Co-director of the Extended Medical Degree Programme at King's. He has over 25 years of research experience as an immunologist focusing on the design of novel immunotherapies for rheumatoid arthritis.
