Libraries & Collections provides access to a wide range of eresources for its students and staff, many of these databases and ejournals are available off-campus.

When accessing eresources we recommend that you use our links to ejournalsdatabasesebooks, video and streaming resources which make it easier if you have to log in. Find out more about how to access eresources

If you are a NHS staff member you will need an NHS OpenAthens username and password to access NHS eresources

Ebooks

Libraries & Collections provides you with access to over 390,000 ebooks covering a wide range of subjects. Most ebook platforms can be accessed off campus using your usual King’s username and password. Ebook Central is an ebook platform that allows King’s to make a greater range of ebooks available to our users that we couldn't afford to purchase outright, by allowing them to be "borrowed" for twenty-four hours.

Currently, we have access to over 200,000 titles through the Ebook Central, it can be accessed through A-Z Databases by searching the databases for Ebook Central. You will need to log in with your King’s username and password.

Ejournals

Libraries & Collections subscribes to over 25,000 electronic journals which are available to staff and students of King’s College as well as providing access to thousands more open- access or freely available titles. If you are off campus then you will need to log in using your King’s username and password for most resources.

BrowZine brings together scholarly ejournals from multiple publishers and platforms and displays them in an easy to browse format. It allows you to browse current and back issues of most of our titles.

Databases

King’s subscribes to a broad range of electronic databases which can help you find articles and information for your research. The type of database you should use will depend on your subject area. Guidance on which databases to use can be found on the on the Library Guides.

You can search or browse for databases using A-Z Databases. If you are off campus then you will need to log in using your King’s username and password for most resources.

Film and video streaming resources

Libraries & Collections subscribes to a number of film and video streaming services that include content such as movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films, TV programmes and educational videos on a wide range of subjects.

You can search or browse using A-Z Databases and setting the database type to ‘video’. You will need to log in using your King’s username and password for most resources.

Libby App (New in 2024)

With the Libby App you can enjoy free ebook novels and audiobooks. Here's how to access:

1. Download the Libby App or open Libby on your device

2. Search for King's College London

3. Sign in with your King's credentials

4. Browse, borrow and read!

NHS eresources

NHS staff can register for an NHS OpenAthens username and password

Once you have registered you can use the NHS OpenAthens account to access NHS eresources (databases, journals, ebooks and elearning) from any computer with Internet access.
