What is Entrepreneurship?

What’s the first thing that you think of when you hear the word 'entrepreneurship'?

Is it Dragon's Den? or a startup in Silicon Valley? Is it a side hustle alongside your 9-to-5? Is it coming up with new and innovative ways to do things at work? Is it radically changing the way things are done in a sector? Or is it coming up with novel solutions to everyday problems?

The good news is, entrepreneurship is all of these things and more.
Entrepreneurship is less about what you do, and more about a mindset of how you do things

  • Entrepreneurship is getting people to share your vision and working together to make them happen
  • Entrepreneurship is imagining what could be, instead of accepting the way things are
  • Entrepreneurship is working with what you've got, and not letting that hold you back
  • Entrepreneurship is experimentation, trialing and testing assumptions until they become real solutions with evidence to back it up
  • Entrepreneurships is bouncing back after being knocked down
  • Entrepreneurship is seeking out talent from walks of life and building a team get the job done
  • Entrepreneurship is getting into gear to make change happen, and not sitting in cruise control

Entrepreneurship is for everyone, no matter where they are or where they're going. The more diverse our perspectives, experiences and backgrounds, the better we will be at seeing new ideas, insights and opportunities.
