The Dickson Poon School of Law is distinguished by its problem-based approach and through our research we explore the role of law in solving today’s most pressing problems.

Our research is used across the globe, by organisations including government departments, public institutions, law firms, regulators, businesses, NGOs and charitable organisations.

We shape legislative change and legal principle, influence practice in public and private institutions, provide evidence to support policy decisions, and make a significant contribution to public debate and dialogue on some of societies’ most challenging issues.
