Digital collections

King's College London Libraries & Collections holds extensive and internationally important Archives and Special Collections. We are working hard to make these collections as open and as accessible as possible, and this includes using new technologies and platforms.

Below you will find details of collections we have digitised and disseminated online, digital scholarship projects, catalogues and datasets, and our social media and outreach activities.

Digital Scholarship encompasses the increasingly diverse application of digital technology to scholarly activity emphasising openness and cross-disciplinary collaboration, as well as the challenging of traditional and established methodological norms.

Digital Scholarship at King's

King's College London has a long tradition of research in the digital humanities, going back to the early 1970s. The Department for Digital Humanities started as the 'Centre for Computing in the Humanities' in 1992 and King's Libraries & Collections has been pleased to collaborate with it ever since as well as contributing our own projects, tools and expertise. The Department has been highly influential in areas of digital information management and digital research methods, and today its expertise in digital archives and libraries is still in high demand.
