King’s students have the power to make a real difference in the world. Our teaching and research equips healthcare professionals with the tools to transform patients’ lives.
Our courses take place in the heart of London. But they’re known around the world. In the latest QS World University Rankings, we were number 2 in the UK and number 5 in the world for nursing.
Our research is making a positive impact on people's lives the world-over. The most recent assessment of our research showed that over 90% of our research was rated as world class or world leading (UK Research Excellence Framework - REF 2014).
We’d like to think our reputation is justified. After all, we’ve been here since Florence Nightingale started her Training School in 1860. We’ve grown a lot over the years – with the addition of midwifery and the Cicely Saunders Institute, we’re now a faculty of 300 staff and 4,000 students.
Developing world-renowned clinicians
These days we teach our students to care for people in the most effective way possible. Whether they’re taking their first steps in healthcare or improving their existing skills, we prepare graduates for success anywhere in the world.
King’s alumni are daring, challenging the status quo and actively working to make the world a better place. And they’re compassionate. They care about their patients and do whatever they can to meet their needs.
