Practice learning for our nurses and midwives

Practice learning placements are a core part of training to be a nurse or midwive. They give pre-registration students the chance to learn in real-life healthcare settings. This means you can use what you’ve learned in class to help care for real people. It’s where you start to feel like a healthcare professional.

Our students spend fifty percent of their pre-registration learning within clinical settings. Working alongside experienced healthcare professionals, our students engage with patients, families and communities.

These pages are for health and care professionals and King's staff involved in programmes that include practice learning, delivered by the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care. They are also for students studying these programmes.
