Life at King's: a student perspective
One of the greatest part of studying at King’s is being in London. While we are students and our priorities will always be to put studying first, this doesn’t mean we can’t have fun. King’s offer a large variety of societies that cover all our interests, so if you are ever wanting to make new friends or just want to try something new make sure to check out the society fair.
King’s also have a wonderful student’s union called KCLSU, every student is automatically a member of KCLSU. There you can find other students who are keen to connect with you, share their experience and culture, and make changes to our university so that all the students can have the best possible experience. It is entirely run by students, so that you know the decisions and policies made are in our interest.
But if you want to be more involved with the Faculty, then King’s also offer fantastic job opportunities. I have always wanted to work with my university and at King’s, I find the perfect opportunity. I am one of the Student Ambassador’s representing my subject which is BSc Adult Nursing in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, my experience since joining the team of Ambassadors allowed me to participate in open days and various of other events throughout the year.
Having been the same position as an applicant and offer holder, I know what sort of questions prospective students might all be curious to know. I always enjoy being asked about my own experiences and I hope that my knowledge of my course and faculty can help others in deciding their choices. So, if you are a prospective student and ever see me at an open day be sure to pop up and say hi!
