Credit level 4, 5 or 6  

This course is broadly equivalent to A2 Basic User, Waystage Level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.


Students will have completed Arabic Stage 1 or Arabic GCSE (Grade B or below) or equivalent.

Students will receive a language ability assessment on arrival before they are officially enrolled..



 

Assessment details

Written examination/s;oral examination/s

Oral exam (40%), 2-hour written exam (60%)Single-semester students cannot take this module. Full year students will undertake all assessments according to the module syllabus.

Teaching pattern

1 x 2-hour language class per week for 2 semesters (20 weeks)
