Study Abroad Tutors

The Study Abroad Tutor is an academic member of staff within a department whose role it is to provide guidance to both incoming and outgoing Study Abroad students.

Commonly, one member of staff acts as both incoming and outgoing tutor, or the role may be separated, with a different staff member responsible for each distinct group.

Working closely with the Global Mobility Office, the Study Abroad Tutor network not only provides vital academic support to participating students, but also plays an important role in creating and maintaining relationships with partner institutions.

You are welcome and encouraged to reach out to the Study Abroad Tutors in the departments in which you are taking modules for general advice and guidance throughout your time at King’s.

As Study Abroad students usually study across different faculties and disciplines (which is very different to the UK university system), you may find yourself approaching different departments and academics throughout your time with us.

If in any doubt about who you should ask for help and advice, feel free to contact the Global Mobility Office on studyabroad@kcl.ac.uk.
