Undergraduate

BA degrees in English Language & Linguistics and Social Sciences

The facility to deploy and interpret language at a sophisticated level is increasingly valuable to employers. On the English Language & Linguistics BA students explore the many ways we use language in our everyday lives, how we adapt our language for different settings and different audiences, and how language evolves along with modern-day communications. The course includes study of the English language structure and research methods training.

The Social Sciences BA is for people who want to make a difference in the world. Topics of study relate to the current and relevant real-world social, political and ethical questions you care about including campaigns like Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, green politics, resurgent nationalism and more.

Based at the King's Waterloo Campus, you’ll benefit from a warm, friendly atmosphere and the tuition of world class researchers as well as our extensive connections in the capital and beyond.
