What does King's Legal Clinic do?

King’s Legal Clinic aims to improve access to justice through a range of activities including; providing free legal advice to members of the public through its Legal Advice Clinic; and working with local and international organisations on research and justice projects.

In the Legal Advice Clinic, our law students work under the supervision of qualified lawyers, interview clients, analyse their legal problems and research the issues involved. Clients are then sent a written letter of advice, normally within two weeks of the initial interview.

The Legal Advice Clinic is taking on new cases. The welfare and health of our clients and students is of the utmost importance to us. In light of Covid-19, we will be delivering our services in the most appropriate and safe way. At this time, this means we will be offering our services online and by phone only. When it is safe, and circumstances permit, we will see clients face to face. We are committed to serving our community and will support our clients to access our services.
