Intellectual Property Clinic

King's Intellectual Property (IP) Clinic is a free advice-only service where King's Law students, supervised by specialist lawyers from our partner law firm Briffa, provide guidance on IP matters.

What issues can the IP Clinic help with?

The clinic offers free IP advice to small businesses, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and organisations.

We can assist with matters relating to trademarks and designs, procedures and forms for registration of IP rights, their protection and enforcement.

King's IP Clinic is committed to fostering innovation and creativity, and to contributing to economic justice.

What type of service is offered by King’s Intellectual Property Clinic?

This is an appointment-only service. We generally offer appointments virtually.

After the appointment, we will provide a one-off letter of advice. Please note we cannot provide ongoing representation and/or represent you in court.

When is the Clinic available for appointments?

The Intellectual Property Clinic offers appointments on Wednesdays only.
