King's Immigration & Asylum Clinic

Please note that our Immigration & Asylum Clinic is now closed and we are not able to assist with any new enquiries.  The clinic will re-open again at the end of August 2024.

King’s Immigration and Asylum Clinic offers regular free immigration and asylum advice in partnership with Duncan Lewis Solicitors, with an aim of improving the availability of high-quality legal advice on immigration and asylum.

The clinic is supervised by solicitors from Duncan Lewis Solicitors who interview clients with the support of student advisers from our King’s Legal Clinic.

What issues can King's Immigration & Asylum Clinic help with?

The Clinic can assist with a wide range of immigration and asylum matters and provide one-off advice.

Please note we cannot assist where deportation proceedings have been commenced, a claim in the Tribunal has been commenced/and or is ongoing or where there is an urgent deadline.

What type of service is offered by King's Immigration & Asylum Clinic?

This is an appointment only service, we aim to offer appointment virtually, but where appropriate we may be able to conduct an appointment face to face.

What days is the Clinic available for appointments?

The Clinic offers appointments on Tuesdays only.

What do the student volunteers do?

Clients booked in for an appointment with the clinic meet with a solicitor from Duncan Lewis, who provides them with advice verbally during the appointment.

King’s student volunteers will assist in drafting you your client care letter which summarises the advice given at your appointment.

Duncan Lewis will then aim to send you your client care letter one week after the appointment has taken place.
