King’s Family Clinic is a free family law advice service run by law students at King's, supervised by our experienced in-house family solicitor and specialist family lawyers from Stowe Family Law LLP and Wilsons Solicitors LLP.
What issues can the Family Clinic help with?
Our Clinic aims to offer specialist family advice on issues like: divorce and civil partnership dissolution, financial disputes, cohabitation issues, child arrangements, domestic abuse protections and Special Guardianship Orders. Please note, we cannot advise on the merits or otherwise if signing drafted pre-nuptial agreements or consent orders. We also do not usually advise on care proceedings or in urgent/emergency situations.
What type of service is offered by the Clinic?
This is an appointment only service, we can offer appointments virtually and face to face as appropriate. We will provide a letter of advice sent to you after your appointment. In addition, in some circumstances, we may be able to complete divorce and child arrangements court forms, as agreed in advance of your appointment.
Please note we cannot provide ongoing representation and/or represent you in court.
What days is the Clinic available for appointments?
The Family Clinic offers appointments on Wednesday evenings and Thursdays (later morning and afternoon).
