Suggesting books for purchase
Libraries & Collections are prioritising requests for reading list materials for the start of the new academic year. We are currently unable to fulfill requests submitted by the Suggest a Book online forms. Your suggestions for the Library collection are being queued and will be considered for purchase at a later date.
In Libraries & Collections we actively develop our collection. We try to ensure you have access to copies of all available items which are core readings on module reading lists. If you are teaching staff you should submit your reading list purchase requirements through the MyReadingLists service.
We also enhance our collection by providing access to materials beyond reading lists, and we are happy to receive your suggestions. If you are a student or member of staff (academic or NHS) and the library doesn’t hold a copy of a book you think we should have, then please use the appropriate Suggest a book form.
We may not be able to purchase every item that is suggested, but we do consider each suggestion. If you need more information about this process, please see our list of frequently asked questions.
