Department of Child & Family Health

Welcome from the Head of Department

Jacqueline Collin-croppedOur Department is committed to education, research and healthcare that makes a positive difference to the lives of children and their families in a range of settings. This is exemplified through our provision of programmes in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing and Children’s nursing.

We work with a range of clinical partners from the NHS and independent sector across London, and together we provide comprehensive practice experience for our students.

Our successful and experienced team of lecturers, tutors, lecturer-practitioners and clinical teachers provide effective education, research and a practice focus to all our courses. This expertise is visible in all our programmes of study at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-qualification levels. This enables us to support pre-registration students taking their first step into a career in children’s nursing, in addition to registered nurses taking their next step in their careers.

Join us to fulfil your ambition to be a children’s nurse, health visitor, school nurse or to enhance your career trajectory. Come and be part of our welcoming team of talented and enthusiastic students, teachers, and researchers.

I warmly invite you to explore our departmental pages to learn more about our work.
