Located in the beautiful North West Wing of Bush House, the Strand Gym is King's Sport & Wellness’ largest fitness facility, conveniently situated in the heart of central London.
The facility is accessible and features a spacious gym floor, three dedicated studio spaces, a women’s-only gym area and both gender-neutral and gendered changing facilities.
As one of two King's Sport & Wellness gym locations, alongside our London Bridge site, the Strand Gym provides convenient access for students, staff, alumni and members of the wider community who can enjoy access to both gym locations, free personalised training programmes, and over 70 studio classes each week across two sites.
The Strand Gym's Studios are also available for hire, making the facility a versatile space for fitness, wellbeing and community activities.
Please note that visitors who are not members of the King's College London community may be required to sign in on their first visit.

Studio Classes
The Strand Gym has four bespoke studios each designed for a different type of class. All the studios are equipped with modern audiovisual systems for the ultimate group exercise session.
Studio 1 - High Intensity Exercise: Dance and Zumba, Les Mills BODYPUMP, Boxfit, and Group Cycle
Studio 2 - Mind & Body: Pilates, Yoga and Dance.
Women's Community Studio - This studio is a mini gym that predominantly functions as a Women's Only space. Private bookings can be requested by contacting kingssport@kcl.ac.uk
Lower Ground Studio - A private stretching area, ideal for mobility drills, mat workouts and virtual classes

FAQs
Are there changing rooms on-site? Yes, we have male and female changing rooms. We also have gender-neutral and disabled toilets with showers. One is located in the gym (lower ground floor) and two are located on the ground floor (studios floor).
Do you have lockers? Yes, we have lockers located inside the gym and outside the studios. When using a locker we would advise you secure your belongings with a padlock, you can bring your own padlock or purchase one from reception for £6.
Please Note: Any items left in lockers overnight will be removed.
Do you provide towels? Yes, sweat towels can be purchased at reception for £6.
Does the gym provide hair dryers? Yes there are hairdryers located in both the male and female changing rooms.
Do you provide shower gel/soap/shampoo? No. Please bring your own shower amenities.
Are the showers single cubicle or communal? The showers are single cubicles in the male and female changing rooms. We also have shower facilities in the gender-neutral and disabled bathrooms located on the ground floor and lower ground floors.
Is the gym wheelchair accessible? Yes, we have a lift which is wheelchair accessible and a wide-access gate for gym entry.
I need a new membership card, how do I get one? Replacement membership cards can be purchased from reception, with a cost of £6.
Is Wi-Fi available on site? Yes, King's Guest WiFi and eduroam are available.
How to find us
The gym is located on Aldwych within Bush House. To find us, please enter Bush House North-West Wing and make your way to the ground and lower-ground floors.
