Module description

Please note One Semester Modules are not available to Postgraduate students.

This course is broadly equivalent to B1 Independent user/ Threshold level and B2 Independent user/ Vantage level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

This module is available for students who are here for the Full Year or Semester 2 only. This module is NOT available to Fall/Semester 1 Only or Spring/Semester 2 Only students.

Students will receive a language ability assessment on arrival (if required) before they are officially enrolled.

This module is available for students who are here for the full year or Semester 2 only.

Assessment details

Written examination & oral examination

Oral exam (40%), 2-hour written exam (60%). Full year and Spring Term students will undertake all assessments according to the module syllabus.

Teaching pattern

2 x 2-hour language classes per week for 1 semester (10 weeks)
