About the NIHR School for Social Care Research

The NIHR School for Social Care Research (SSCR) was established in 2009 and is one of the leading funders of research into adult social care practice in England.

In May 2019, this Unit joined with six other partner institutions in the current five-year phase of the School's work. Unit Director Jill Manthorpe sits on the Executive Group of the SSCR. Michelle Cornes, Jo Moriarty, Kritika Samsi and Mary Baginsky are Senior Fellows of the SSCR. Jess Harris, Stephen Martineau, Nicole Steils, Emily Thomas, Jennifer Owen, and Monica Leverton are Fellows of the School.
