She is also a post doc researcher on the BEAT study, one of many projects within The Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) South London. This study aims to improve access and uptake of physical health interventions for people with psychosis, including developing and evaluating tobacco dependence treatment pathways and training interventions for staff.
Previous research includes therapy and training RCTs in medication management and qualitative studies about patient’s experiences of antipsychotic medication. She has also conducted studies relating to improving the physical health and wellbeing of people with psychosis. Debbie’s PhD was a mixed methods study of the development and evaluation of a smoking cessation intervention for people with schizophrenia.
