Study Health Psychology

The Health Psychology section of the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) supports undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop their understanding and application of Psychology and Health Psychology in research and professional contexts. Our taught programmes reflect the diverse research interests of our staff and are enhanced by contributions from our research and clinical collaborators in the IoPPN and in partner health care settings, as well as colleagues visiting from other institutions.

Undergraduate study in Health Psychology

Health Psychology is unique in the IoPPN for delivering taught programmes for undergraduate students. The section is responsible for undergraduate teaching in psychology to all King's College London medical students as part of the core MBBS training.

It also offers a one year intercalating BSc in Psychology, and is responsible for the Neuroscience and Neuropsychology pathway for the intercalated BSc in Neurosicence. These programmes are open to internal and external intercalating students and are especially designed to benefit intercalating medical students.

Graduate research programmes

The Health Psychology section offers research studentships often on a collaborative basis as part of a larger research project. In this way we are able to ensure that students have a dedicated workspace and all the resources necessary to successfully investigate and present their research.
