The Addictions Service User Research Group (SURG)

The central aim of the SURG is to build meaningful and reciprocal relationships between addiction researchers and service users when thinking through research problems, designing studies, preparing grant applications and ultimately conducting and disseminating research.

The London Down Syndrome Consortium

We are investigating the link between Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease from the different perspectives of our fields. People with Down syndrome are predisposed to developing Alzheimer's disease and we are working together towards finding out why.

Translational Mental Health and Autism Group

The Translational Mental Health and Autism Group is led by Dr Matthew Hollocks. The group focuses on understanding the mechanisms of poor mental health in autism. We aim to use this knowledge to improve clinical care and develop better treatments for common co-occurring conditions such as anxiety and depression.

The Trials Methodology Research Group is focussed on improving the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials for the benefit of participants, researchers, and others who use the evidence to make decisions about healthcare.

TEDS: Twins Early Development Study

The Twin Early Development Study (TEDS) is one of the leading large-scale twin studies in the world. Starting in 1994, it has followed twins born in England and Wales throughout their childhood and adolescence and has now continued into early adulthood.
