King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals, with over 6,000 staff providing around 700,000 patient contacts a year with a strong profile of local services primarily serving the boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Bromley.
Their specialist services are available to patients across a wider catchment area, providing nationally and internationally recognised work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, haemato-oncology and foetal medicine.
King’s also plays a key role in the training and education of medical, nursing and dental students with its academic partner, King’s College London. They are a host trust for second and third year pre-registration nursing students from the Faculty. Students do their clinical placements at King’s and follow programmes leading to registration as a nurse in either adult or paediatric nursing.
Placements are available to both nursing and midwifery students.
