About Me

I have an extensive background in the youth and community work sector as a youth work practitioner, artist educator and project/team manager. In parallel to that I have been teaching on an MA programme at Goldsmiths University for several years.

Current Research

I joined Kings College London in June 2017 to work on Rethinking impact, evaluation and accountability in youth work, a crucial and timely three-year ESRC-funded research project, which investigates how impact tools and processes are experienced and enacted by young people and practitioners in youth work settings. The project will involve young people, practitioners, funders and policy makers / influencers in sharing, discussing and developing approaches to evaluation and accountability that are congruent with open youth work practice.

In addition to my research role here at Kings, I teach part-time on the MA Applied Anthropology, Community & Youth Work at Goldsmiths University- a fully JNC and ESB endorsed Masters programme with pathways in Youth Work, Community Development and Community Arts.
