The King's College London Study Abroad programme allows students who are currently studying for their degree at an overseas institution to spend either a semester or a full year at King’s. They must have completed at least a full year of study before their study abroad at King's.

Students apply through King's Apply.

Students accepted on this programme enrol in four semester modules (or 60 credits) from the Study Abroad Module Catalogue.

Over 600 semester modules to choose from, and you can mix and match across disciplines.

Full year students interested in securing an internship for credit can look at the Study Abroad Plus Internship module.

For students already studying for a Master's programme at an institution based outside of the UK.

Students accepted on this programme enrol on three or four postgraduate modules per semester (60 UK credits).

Postgraduate students take only level 7 modules, which can be found in the Study Abroad Module Catalogue.

For PhD students attending an institution based outside of the UK with whom we have a student exchange (students from non-exchange institutions can apply to come to King's through the Visiting Research Student route via the Graduate School, or, if from Erasmus+ universities, via the Erasmus+ Traineeship scheme).

Students need to be accepted and approved by a relevant academic supervisor at King's College London before applying to this programme. Students can identify and contact a potential supervisor using the Research Portal or individual faculty homepages

Students must upload their PhD proposal to the Kings Apply portal as part of their application.

This programme gives students access to facilities such as the graduate study space, the College libraries and to graduate methodology seminars.
