Sara Hitchman completed her MASc in Applied Psychology, and her PhD in Psychology at the University of Waterloo. Her research interests include global tobacco control policy, tobacco harm reduction, smoking among people with mental health problems, and smoking cessation. Prior to coming to King’s, Sara worked with the International Tobacco Control Project, spent time at the University of California San Francisco as a post-doctoral fellow, and worked with the World Heart Federation and the World Health Organization. Sara is a member of the UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies.
