Our mission

Our Clinic offers free legal advice to members of the public, giving law students the opportunity to gain professional experience while serving our London community.

King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’) has two key aims; enhancing the education of our students and promoting social justice. Our aims are achieved through five objectives:

  • providing our students with the opportunity to work on live cases thereby developing their skills and understanding of law in context;
  • to develop innovative experiential learning and teaching methods;
  • develop students professional and ethical awareness and instil a lifelong commitment to access to justice for all;
  • to provide free high-quality legal advice to members of the public, in particular those who cannot afford to pay for legal advice; and
  • engaging in legal activism and research initiatives relating to access to justice and social justice issues.
