Our mission

Our Clinic offers free legal advice to members of the public, giving law students the opportunity to gain professional experience while serving our London community.

King’s Legal Clinic provides free legal advice to members of the public, staff and students at King’s. The type of issues we can help with include:

  • whether you can terminate a tenancy agreement early;
  • understanding how you might enforce the terms of a will;
  • what you should consider if you want to be a trustee for a charity, and more.

The Clinic also offers legal advice in a range of specialist areas, working with leading law firms to run clinics focused on:

  • Social Enterprises and Start Ups (with Charles Russell Speechlys)
  • Immigration & Asylum (with Duncan Lewis Solicitors)
  • Cycling Injuries (with Fletchers Solicitors)
  • PwC Legal Clinic (with PricewaterhouseCoopers)

Our law students work under the supervision of qualified lawyers, interviewing clients, analysing their legal problems and researching the issues involved in their client’s case. Clients are then sent a written letter of advice, normally within two weeks of the initial interview.
