Rabia is Director of Administration in The Dickson Poon School of Law. She works with the Executive Dean and the Law Executive Team (LET) to lead the strategic direction of the School. 

The Director of Administration has overall responsibility for the Law School’s Professional Services teams.

In addition to her work at King’s, Rabia is an independent governor at the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama as well as the Deputy Chair for the Board of Governors at a local primary school.

Catrin is responsible for managing the delivery of education activities and the student experience, along with quality assurance, and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). She works with the Vice Dean Education to support School's Education Strategy. Catrin also deputises for the Director of Administration.

Caitlin is responsible for the effective delivery of programme administration and education support for the School’s taught campus based and online or distance learning programmes. Caitlin is also the primary point of contact for the School’s international programmes and partner institutions, and supports inward and outward student mobility.

Billy is responsible for building our student community, ensuring that students are at the heart of our activities and the delivery of our services.  Billy's work focuses on student engagement and recruitment strategies, professional skills development and employability, student society support, and internal and external surveys and our league table positioning.  Billy supports the Diversity & Inclusion work we are committed to integrating into our daily business as well as special projects that ensure we are supporting our student experience effectively. 

Quality Assurance Manager

Rachel supports programme development and approval for the School as well as module development and evaluations. She is also responsible for conducting programme reviews and programme approval panels. Her role includes providing secretarial support to SEC and all connected working groups as well as assisting with the Attendance and Monitoring process.

Dave manages all aspects of technology enhanced learning across the on-campus programmes in the Law School. Dave works with academic staff to help enhance their teaching through the use of technology, and supports administrative staff with queries and works with central departments on college wide projects.

Sue deals with all matters relating to student records, examinations and results, class times, liaison with lecturers and the School and College and conference organisation; also acts as Secretary to the staff meetings and the Sub-Assessment Board. She takes main responsibility for dealing with enquiries about applications for the MSc programme, uploading of teaching materials on to KEATS, administration of coursework, tutorials and dissertations, and bookings for conferences and other events.

Faculty Research Manager

Suzanne is the head of research support for the School of Law and King’s Business School. Working closely with the Vice Dean for Research, Director of Doctoral Studies and Impact Lead, she has oversight of the School’s research operations, is responsible for the development and implementation of the School’s research strategy and associated policies, and for monitoring research performance.

The School Research Manager co-ordinates the development and administration of research grant applications and supports staff in running their research projects. The SRM is also responsible for overseeing the preparations for REF, including Pure Support and Open Access.

School Research Manager (Impact)

The Impact Manager works with academics in the Law School and Business School to enhance and evaluate the impact of their research outside of academia. Over the next two years, she will support the writing of impact case studies for the REF 2021 submission.

Courtney is responsible for the administration of the School’s MPhil /PhD programmes, providing advice to research students in respect of programme regulations, upgrades and submission. She works closely with Director of Doctoral Studies and is secretary to the School Research Committee and Postgraduate Research Student Subcommittee. She supports the School Research Manager with administration of research grant costings, REF preparations and Pure Support.

David provides specialist support to individuals and teams developing strategic research grant applications, working with academics and the School’s research support team. He identifies and circulates relevant calls, potential funding sources for each research project, and advises on the content of grant applications.   

Business & Operations

Business Manager 

Chris Norton

Chris is responsible for the financial and human resource needs within the School. Key to the role is the planning of module delivery, ensuring all teaching is timetabled and appropriately resourced. Chris is a key contributor to the annual Planning Round and is responsible for arranging non-pay budgets. Chris works closely with the Law Executive Team, the Vice Dean for Education and Vice Dean for Academic Staff. 

Centre Manager (European Law)

Christine is responsible to the CEL Directors for the management of the Centre of European Law. She manages, promotes and runs the Centre’s extensive programme of events and is responsible for the operation of five distance learning Postgraduate Diploma/MA programmes. Christine also manages the Centre’s finances, producing budgets, accounts and administering the research grant fund and EU funded research projects as well as servicing the Centre’s Advisory Board.

As Director of  Professional Legal Education, Chris is responsible for leading the Law School’s strategy on the development of new professional education programmes, and the coordination of existing professional skills modules. In this capacity, he works closely with the Director of Clinical Legal Education the Director of Professional Skills. He also coordinates his efforts with the work of the Law School’s Careers & Employability team to ensure that the School provides a full service of support for the career goals of all our undergraduate and postgraduate students.   

Legal Clinic Coordinator

Deborah coordinates the day-to-day running of King's Legal Clinic. She oversees the admnistration of the clinic with the support of student volunteers and manages the clinic's social media presence. Deborah also assists the Clinic Director in supervising students volunteering with the clinic; ensuring that they understand the clinic's procedures and the imporantce of ethical issues like confidentiality

Communications Manager

Leonie manages communication work across the School, including developing communication plans to support the School and university’s strategic aims. She works closely with the School’s leadership team on the development of staff communication channels and directives. Her responsibilities include: identifying news that supports King’s strategic aims and writing news stories to showcase academic research and teaching innovation; providing guidance on corporate branding and tone of voice, change and crisis communications and liaising with King’s Corporate Communications team and with communications colleagues in other areas of King’s. Leonie is lead web editor for the School and line manages the Marketing, Communications and Events team.

Sarah is the School’s marketing lead, working with academics and the central marketing team to meet recruitment objectives and develop marketing plans, strategies and activities. She is responsible for recruitment events including open days, offer-holder events and keep-warm activities, managing social media channels and initiatives designed for recruitment purposes. She also leads on maintenance of the university’s online prospectus entries for the School, working with teams across the External Relations Directorate to help create and strengthen partnerships in order to meet marketing and recruitment objectives.

Kieran is responsible for social media, audio and video for communications in the School. He plans, schedules, and creates content in support of the School’s key messages and strategic aims, creating innovative and high-quality audio-visual content which aims to capture the School’s outputs, achievements and ambition. He produces best-practice guidance for the School’s use of social media and audio visual and generates reports for the Law Executive Team, measuring the impact of the School’s digital communications and benchmarking our activity. He advises academic staff on their online presence and supports strategic projects with online communications. He works closely with all members of the Hub, including with the Senior Marketing Officer on student recruitment initiatives.

Madeleine is responsible for planning, co-ordinating and running the School’s expansive events portfolio, advising on best practise and aligning the events schedule to the School’s strategic aims. Her portfolio includes: conferences, public lectures, inaugural lectures, symposia. She writes and edits the fortnightly Events Update and has responsibility for the School’s event budget. Madeleine advises academic staff on best practice for events and leads on key events throughout the academic year such as end of year celebrations, away days, careers fairs and immersive weekend courses.

Mita co-ordinates the work of The Dickson Poon Transnational Law Institute and the Yeoh Tiong Lay Centre for Politics, Philosophy & Law, supporting the Directors in realising the vision for both the Institute and the Centre. She is responsible for organising and facilitating signature events, including the Transnational Law Summer Institute summer school and PPL centres annual lectures.

Dr Anna Z Loutfi is Legal Researcher and Projects Officer at The Dickson Poon School of Law. She provides academic and administrative support to the Distinguished Visitors, Lord Phillips and Lord Judge, and is their first point of contact at the School. Among other responsibilities, she was also part of the organisational team for the King’s Transnational Law Summit.
