Beactive: Your free social activity programme
The BeActive Halls programme gives all King’s College London halls’ residents unlimited access to a weekly activity programme of 50+ sessions a week. Students can Play, Rejuvenate, Dance, Sweat, Learn, Explore and Experience for FREE. With 5-a-side football to yoga, salsa to circus skills, boxfit to crazy golf, there is something for everyone
The aim is simple: to offer fun, inclusive, weekly social activity that is quite literally on your doorstep. Beactive operates all over London including on campus and within residences. Students living in halls of residence have unlimited access to the BeActive programme including all of the standard sessions aswell as exclusive BeActive Halls sessions that take place within residences.
How do I get involved?
You will get an email at the end of September that tells you how to activate your membership and sign up to activities. Once you’ve activated your membership you can start booking by clicking here.
Please note: Students opting to live in University of London halls of residence will not be eligible for BeActive Halls but you can buy a membership for just £25 to attend all BeActive Standard sessions all year round.
King’s Gyms in Residences
King’s Sport Health and Fitness aim to provide all students studying at King’s with the opportunity to exercise no matter where they are living.
We therefore now have gyms located near to, or in the following halls:
· Stamford Street Apartments
· Great Dover Street Apartments
Our campus gym facilities will include the Strand, London Bridge and Waterloo gyms for the 2020/21 academic year.
What other King’s gyms do I have access to?
All students living in Great Dover Street Apartments and Champion Hill will have peak access to their gym located in the hall and off-peak access to our campus gyms (which can be upgraded to peak access for £40).
Students living in Stamford Street Apartments will receive free peak memberships for Waterloo and off peak access to The Strand and Waterloo (for 40 weeks of the year only, which again can be upgraded for £40)
How do I get access?
To activate membership and access to gyms, students must complete the online form sent via email by Resident Hall Managers. Students are granted access by activation of their student ID at the residence apartment front desk. Students in SSA should receive an email direct from King’s Sport to access the Waterloo Gym in the first week of October with students at Great Dover Street and Champion Hill receiving their off-peak access at this time as well.
