Shine a light on your inclusive organisational practices through the lived experiences of individuals from a diverse ranges of backgrounds.
King's has a long-standing track record of improving the social mobility of our students and we are proud of our reputation as one of the most successful Russell Group universities for widening participation.
We celebrate diversity across our combined student population and recognise we have far more to do to genuinely enhance a sense of belonging across all characteristics when our students explore different career paths.
Spotlight on Inclusion showcases the lived experiences of individuals and enables employers to highlight positive internal networks and leadership, enhancing access and inclusion in their organisations, within the themes of:
- students from Black, Asian & Diverse Heritage backgrounds
- disability inclusion
- gender inclusion
- LGBTQ+ inclusion
- understanding of mental & physical well-being
King's students stem from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences - it's critical that we're transparent about the opportunities to join our organisation and these events really helped us to educate students on the possibilities.
Diversity & Inclusion Lead, Technology Firm
In 2023-24, alongside our own events we will be collaborating with other London Russell Group institutions (Imperial College London, LSE, Queen Mary University of London & UCL) to provide networking opportunities to our students and create a reach of students that is even more diverse.
Events will include panels, speed meets and workshops across a range of industries and highlighting the experiences of individuals and those championining this important work. Whilst each institution will take the lead for different events, we're keen to ensure alumni representation and lived experiences from all partner institutions so please feel free to reach out to us to discuss any of the below.
We are still finalising dates for some of our activities but get in touch to discuss your planned engagement.
