Human imaging

Changes in brain structure and function are associated with conditions such as epilepsy, stroke and psychosis. Neuroscientists and clinicians want to understand what is happening in these, and other, psychiatric and neurological disorders. Using imaging, it's possible to see structural changes caused by disease processes and to investigate changes in brain function (in some cases, in real-time). We use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to understand the differences between health and disease or dysfunction.
