Influence our Strategy

We pride ourselves on our relationships with our employer partners, building bespoke and innovative strategies for your organisation's engagement - and enabling you in turn to help shape our own strategy.

Our commitment to working in partnership means we are happy to share ideas and expertise about what's going on at King's and enable you to help shape our employer engagement strategy and influence the identity of a King's graduate in the global labour market.

We strive to be the trusted partner of choice in sourcing and developing talent.

Our current strategy is built upon five core elements:

Identity To redefine the brand and positioning of a King's graduate in the global labour market.
Intelligence To develop strategic, targeted relationships and lasting business partnerships informed by current data and global labour market intelligence.
Personalised To deliver exceptional relationship management through regular interactions with expert sector specialists.
Bespoke To persistently develop distinctive experiential opportunities for King's students and graduates.
Innovative To respond flexibly with stakeholders to generate and develop creative new engagement opportunities.

Alongside working with your relationship manager in our Employer Relations & Development Team, we have a number of ways for you to get involved.

Our Embedding Strategy

From 2017/18, all new academic degree programmes at King’s will be required to put employability at the heart of their programme design through our employability-led quality assurance strategy.

King's Employer Board

Influence our strategy, support programme development and share your expertise by becoming involved in our King's Employer Board helping to determine the unique identity of a King's graduate in the labour market.

Internships and Placements

Work with us to develop bespoke opportunities and programmes for students interested in undertaking accredited or co-curricular internships, providing funding or develop a partnership with faculty for our growing year-in-industry provision.

Partnership on Research

Partnerships are an effective, and essential, way to create new knowledge and inventions. King’s has a long history of working with organisations to deliver partnerships that drive innovation and deliver success.

Partnerships, as part of our Research Development team, operate across the university to create new relationships with industry and other external beneficiaries. This includes funded partnerships such as Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and Collaborative Awards for Science and Engineering (CASE).
