12 November 2007  New £10 million centre to cut heart disease
King's College London has officially launched a new £10 million, state-of-the-art research facility for medical imaging. It houses a newly formed team of specialists, called the Interdisciplinary Medical Imaging Group (IMIG).

13 September 2007  Honorary Fellowship for Duchess of Cornwall
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of King's College London today (Thursday 13 September) in recognition of her outstanding contribution through her role as a patron of numerous charitable organisations, particularly as President of the National Osteoporosis Society (NOS), with whose work King's is closely associated.

22 June 2007  Biomedical Forum launched
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Comprehensive Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at King's and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust today launched its Biomedical Forum to showcase translational research and foster collaboration between scientists, clinicians, dentists and allied health professionals. The inaugural event brought together key figures from the BRC and culminated in a lecture by a leading international scientist.

11 April 2007  Radiologist's double presidency
Andy Adam, Professor of Interventional Radiology at King's, has recently been elected President of the Royal College of Radiologists. He is also currently serving as President of the European Society of Radiology. It is the first time the same person has been president of both institutions simultaneously or at different times.

05 March 2007  Fifth MRC Centre at King's
King's College London has been awarded a new MRC Centre for Transplantation to address some of the ongoing problems associated with transplantation. The Centre will be directed by Professor Steven Sacks and brings the total to five prestigious Medical Research Council (MRC) Centres at King's.
