Congratulations to Dr Alberto Figueroa, Senior Lecturer in Computational Modelling, who has been awarded a European Research Council starter grant ‘An Integrated Computer Modelling Framework for Subject-Specific Cardiovascular Simulation: Applications to Disease Research, Treatment Planning, and Medical Device Design’.

The project aims to develop an integrated image-based computer modelling framework for subject-specific cardiovascular simulation. Alberto believes that the successful execution of this project will help to bridge the gap between computational modelling and its clinical application, and will enable us to work towards the goal of personalised cardiovascular medicine.
