Everyone is welcome at Medfest – the free once-yearly, highly-lauded international medical film festival hosted by KCL (King's) Psychiatry Society. Now in its fifth year, the festival will feature a selection of short films, clips and animations. These will be screened and discussed by a panel of distinguished or famous faces before the floor is opened for audience comments.
This year's panel includes Dr Alex Cohen (anthropologist, senior lecturer and researcher at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine), Dr Mark Salter (consultant psychiatrist, producer, media expert and author of 'Outdoor Psychiatry'), Dr Peter Hughes (Chair of the London Division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, expert in global mental health), Dr Raj Persaud (consultant psychiatrist, author, TV and radio presenter) and Dr Roxanne Keynejad (CT1 ACF General Adult Psychiatry, King's Tropical Health & Education Trust THET Somaliland Mental Health Co-Lead).
There will be a post-event social at the Thomas Guy Club with free drinks and nibbles.
